Sustainable RWTH

In its sustainability mission statement, which we also worked on, RWTH has committed to the 1.5° target and climate neutrality by 2030. As one of the first measures, RWTH is finally switching to green electricity. However, the path to climate neutrality is still long: pv systems on university buildings, greening of facades and the switch to sustainable fuels are just some of the measures that must finally be pursued consistently and implemented.

Sustainability must also play a greater role in teaching in the future! We demand that sustainability should be incorporated into all curricula – the
Leonardo project has already shown possible formats. Only through teaching that reflects the change in the reality of life, students can remain
competitive in the long term.
